Currency conversion, i.e., "100 usd to sek", should display widget

I'm not getting a widget. Tried:

eur usd
eur to usd
100 eur to usd
250 usd to czk

The latter queries will tell me the amount, but no widget.

@Vlad is this issue being worked on? As someone who travels a lot this is one of the most annoying issues right now with Kagi.

To summarize: Currency conversion widget works for "popular" currencies USD to EUR etc. But anything else NEVER works.

Example "100 yen to chf", "100 usd to chf", "100 chf to usd". There are endless example where it does not work.

While I do agree that a better widget for currency conversion is needed (and better widgets in general), a good tip for now is to use the calculator, it normally works well. Just use the calc bang in your queries (but remember to use the official 3 letter code, for example for yen it's JPY)

Wanted to report that I have the same problem (trying this on Orion on iOS 17).
Tried it for chf and (since it was mentioned here) php, both didn‘t work.
I also think it‘s for lesser used currencies.
Funnily enough btc and eth works. 🙂 👌

Broken on terms like "300 MXN to euro", and "300 MXN to EU".

This partially works, but it's very finicky and unpolished.

For example without specifying an amount, "usd to euro" works, while "usd to eur" doesn't, even though both are valid currency codes.

Also, when it does work on my examples, there is not a lot of usefulness in the result. It literally says = euro0.97 (euros). So, little precision, no historical values, etc. It seems to be relying on Wolfram Alpha which is somewhat bizarre for currency exchange.
