Search results number less than 20 after custom filtering

Steps to reproduce:
Enter always the same keywords, then filter by blocking undesired results. Refresh the page ctrl+shift+R. Redo multiple times. Eventually use the feature to position results on the bottom.

Expected behavior:
Before blocking websites, I had let us say 20 results. After showing up more, let us say 40. After doing my filtering (essentially blocking websites as written above) I expect to get exactly the same number of search results, 20 first time, then 40 after.
However I get now around 17 search results, which far less than expected. I didn't count precisely before (because I didn't expect to report a bug), but I am 100% sure the number of results is far less than before.

As a side note, after waiting some time I noticed more results show up, but I would expect it to be immediate.

Could you share the search keyword and blocked websites? Will try to see if I can replicate it.

vicky thank you for your reply and I apologize for not providing the blocked websites. Is there any way to export as a CSV all the blocked websites? I didn't see any option.
If indeed there is no such option I will scrape the website when I will be back home.

The list of blocked websites is quite long, so I do my comment before.
You may notice that while trying the search with my list of blocked websites you will have some websites of scientific publications like Nature which are now coming on top. It is on purpose and I am happy with that. So your answer could be: why not just enable the "Academic" lens if what you want is to avoid results from governmental organizations or newspapers. My purpose was actually to get broader results (including blogs, personal websites, etc), not specifically Academic. I just tried the results from the "Small web" lens, which are pretty interesting, but yet the most general search gives more results so I still prefer it over this lens. Furthermore it wouldn't change the crux of the problem which is very few results after filtering, and which is in my opinion a bug.

The search keyword is "climate change", the list of blocked websites is below (in alphabetical order and includes scam websites like z-lib.is not related to the current search but it would take me too much time to filter for this specific search). After applying this list, I have only 4 search results showing up after using the "See other results" button (I have the button in Japanese so not sure of the exact name in English):

Hello,
It has been a month ago I reported the bug of few search results (fewer than 20) being returned. So I am curious, anything new?
Or is it low priority and hence will be done sometime in the future?
In case there is a policy on the forum for people who try to put their case on top of the forum, I ask for the progress just once but won't ask again so please don't worry.

searcher Sorry, it is low poriority because it seems not to be widespread issue (low upvotes) and team is swarmed with hundreds of other issues right now.
