Invoices with VAT itemization

Hi,
I recently started working as self-employed, and have been going over my invoices for things that are related to my job. Kagi search helps me search better, and I think would be valid to include in the expenses I experience as a self-employed worker. However, in order for me to use it, I require VAT to be itemized in invoices. I guess it's possible Kagi doesn't charge VAT, but I wouldn't know if it's not shown on the invoice.

If you start charging VAT in the future and that means price increase then please notify all users beforehand. I will personally cancel my subscription in that case. I would not like it to be a surprise on my bill.

A price hike from USD 10.00 to USD 12.30 in Poland will kill sales in thisi region.

For example Spotify cost in the US is USD 10.99 and in Poland it's PLN 19.99, VAT included (USD 4.96). People are not willing to pay more. So Kagi to Spotify ratio in the US is 91%. In Poland a 23% price increase would mean a Kagi/Spotify ratio of 248%.

Netflix price is USD 15.49 in the US and USD 10.67 (PLN 43 incl. VAT) in Poland, which means Kagi to Netflix ratio in the US:
65%, Kagi to Netflix ratio in Poland: 115%.

Youtube Premium price in USD 13.99 in the US and USD 6.45 (25.99 incl. VAT) in Poland, that gives Kagi/YTPremium ratio: 71% in the US and 191% in Poland.

There are countries with MUCH worse purchase power parity now than Poland for example Kenya or India but prices are the same as in California which will lead to very few sales as people compare your prices with other online services that require much more bandwith and resources than Kagi yet they can keep prices low.

MichaSobczyk We will notify everyone. We do not have much choice, Polish government wants us to collect sales tax, it is not something we want to do. And a cost of search is the same in Poland as it is in US, you get all the same Kagi search quality regardless of where you are. It is really not clear what we else we can do?

Vlad Yes, I understand, I would probably do the same in your position. If costs are similar the same price everywhere is logical. I wonder however how Netflix and Spotify can keep their AWS costs so low that they can offer so competitive prices in places like Poland. As a Netflix user I would probaly use 50-100GB per month. After credit card processing, VAT and artist payouts Spotify earns about $1 per month in my country and that has to cover all Amazon cloud fees. When it comes to file storage providers for example Mega.IO charges 5 EUR per month for 1TB of transfer and I think they use external infrastructure too.

MichaSobczyk Our costs have very little to do with infrastructure or bandwidth and very much to do with the price of external APIs we use for search.
