Problems running latest Kagi update on Mobile Browsers without Javascript

I regularly access Kagi using a mobile browser w/javascript disabled. I use a slightly modified session link to skip the "html" redirection.

This worked fine until the latest Kagi update. Presently, my set theme isn't rendered and trying to save settings changes (or tapping 'X' to close the pane) sends me to the Kagi home page instead of my prior search.

I am able to use other tabs (e.g., Images) and even lenses with a search. But tapping the Kagi logo (top-left corner) sends me to Kagi home instead of the search landing page. Despite being sent to the home page, using the browser's back button allows me to modify and run another search so I appear to be still logged in.

I was able to replicate this issue with both Firefox Focus and Vivaldi browser on Android. This probably isn't just a mobile issue, but I haven't a suitable desktop configuration to try it with.

buteo Thanks, we have a fix for the close (X) button ready for the next update.

I'm unsure we want to change the behavior for the Kagi button. It is intentional that it always sends you to the home page, across the app. I'm unsure we want to change that in this context.

Could you clarify this? Do you mean one of our Kagi theme settings, or Custom CSS?

buteo If you meant that your mobile theme doesn't match your desktop theme, this may be intentional. In the last update we made it so theme settings are split between desktop & mobile, so you can have different theme options set on both.

Yes, the preset Kagi themes. With the settings pane sending me back to the home/signup page (shown above) on mobile when trying to save settings or closing with 'X', I am essentially stuck with the default and not able to make many other adjustments. Before, my desktop theme was also used for the session link.

As an addendum, I might have erroneously assumed this problem to be specific to disabling javascript when it really might be specific to session link logins. I am just noticing this behavior on my two mobile browsers even with javascript enabled, and I apologize for my carelessness in testing/reporting. Perhaps the subject of this thread should be changed once we've pinned down what's really going on.

OK. That should not be happening at all. We will check this.

This sounds really similar to Logins frequently invalidated; Kagi does not preserve the search query through the login process, but I can't be sure yet. So we'll hold off on merging the threads for now.
