Also I would respectfully argue that in this case the intention is wrong, unless the extra content can load so fast that the issue isn't perceivable.
I notice that in your screenshot, latency is only 53ms so maybe this isn't a noticeable problem for you but my phone on LTE reports latency of 283ms, so the delay is very noticeable to me. Even my desktop on a fiber connection reports latency of 150ms in the Kagi settings bar.
I'm not sure why latency is so bad on desktop though. If I run a traceroute to kagi.com, latency is 1ms on average, as it appears to be handled by Google, which my ISP peers with directly.
