Kagi is prioritising results that do not contain all terms

Steps to reproduce:

When searching for "TXE75E AXE5400 linux", the first 7 results do not contain the term "linux". This behaviour in Google search was one of the primary reasons I started paying for Kagi.

Expected behavior:

I expect that if there are results with all terms, they are prioritised over results that don't contain some of the terms.

alecthomas Kagi should respect quoted terms. We will check what is causing it not to in this case.

It does respect quoted terms, that's not the issue. The issue is that when there are no quoted terms it prioritises results that don't contain all of the terms over ones that do.

Edit: That is, if I search for "TXE75E AXE5400 linux" I would expect the top results to contain all three terms. As I mentioned, the habit of Google's of returning results that don't contain my search terms was one of the main reasons I switched to Kagi in the first place.

alecthomas Typically that is not how search engines work including Kagi, as relevancy is not a factor of just search terms, and not all keywords are equal. What we paid special attention to is to honor implicit declaration of intent when people quote terms.

Btw. we have "verbatim mode" if you want to enable all input treated as quoted.

I believe if you want all results to include a term, you have to quote it. So you would need to write your search like:
"TXE75E" "AXE5400" "linux"
If I'm not mistaken, that would require each term to show up somewhere in the results, or you can write it like this:
"TXE75E AXE5400 linux"
To make the words show up exactly in that order, together, and with exactly that spacing.
