Don't trigger a new search until I request it by clicking the "search" icon

When modifying options for a search on the search page, Kagi automatically performs a new search as soon as a new option is set, e.g. if I select a time range, Kagi performs a new search as soon as the range is selected.

If I'm setting more than one option, this wastes searches from my quota.

E.g. if I do a search, and then I want to modify it to have both a lens and a time range specified, there's no way to do this without a wasted intermediate search. I want to be able to change both options before a search is performed. This could be achieved by having Kagi not perform the new search until I click on the magnifying glass symbol.

riddley An idea: What if shift-clicking a filter option would change the value, but not execute the search? So when you are done, you either press the last option without shift, or press the search icon.

The problem with this is dicoverability. How would other users find about it?

You could have a FAQ on how to reduce your quota usage, and email it to users who approach or exceed their quota use

Or you could just have a text box on the search page - it's mainly empty space - that says "Shift-click options to change them without starting a new search"

Or a tool-tip

Or have an option in settings to make it the default. Power users who are concerned about hitting their quota are probably the sort of users who will look at every option

Even if the user is not concerned about hitting their quota, as on websites where no quota applies, it is awkward to have filters applied before one has finished setting them.
