@ckie If you wouldn't mind testing next time you see it, the icon should go away after you visit the changelog page.
However it may not appear that it does if you use your browser's back function, as it will often have the page cached. So it may be confusing if you click it, go back, click it again, etc. - it will appear to not go away until the page is properly reloaded.
We can maybe do something to discourage your browser from caching that state, but it would be good to try this next time:
- Click changelog notifcation
- Press the Kagi square at the top left of the page to go back to the homepage (or just navigate manually back to https://kagi.com)
- Observe that the notification is gone
Alternatively, if you press back, then refresh the page, it should also go away.
If that still doesn't work for you, then a bug may be afoot. Otherwise if its just the browser cache, its known behavior that we can try to improve.
