sahil48 Steps to reproduce: <Include steps to reproduce the bug.> Type: hello !g world Expected behavior: <What you expected to happen?> I expect Google to search for "hello world" as DuckDuckGo does. Instead kagi searches for "hello !g world".
z64 I've marked this as a suggestion, as currently this is inteded; we only interpret bangs at the beginning or end of the query; https://help.kagi.com/kagi/features/bangs.html?#supported-bang-syntaxes
carl I prefer it the way it is. There's no reason for anybody to put a bang in the middle of a search term.
danbulant it kind of makes sense as a quick shortcut when updating search. I.e. search, see irrelevant results (rarely happens, but it still does), add !bang at the end to quickly search. Although pressing Home (or up arrow) and typing it at the start takes about the same time anyway.
z64 danbulant As of our last update, we added a shortcut - you can press ! and it will focus the search bar, append a !, so you can start typing a bang.
