This was originally going to be a report that Verbatim mode + -site:... gave incorrect results, but now it's not even giving any results and so I'm just... going to report what I'm seeing.
Broken Verbatim mode
A search for "" with verbatim mode enabled (and no personalization) showed about 8 results, largely but not entirely from Facebook: https://kagi.com/search?q=springfield+school+ransomware&verbatim=1&personalized=0
(No screenshot because it currently shows empty results, despite showing results just 15 minutes ago!)
I had then added -site:facebook.com and instead of removing the Facebook results, it only included Facebook results.
For comparison: Non-verbatim
https://kagi.com/search?q=springfield+school+ransomware&personalized=0 (no personalized, no verbatim mode) shows a bunch of Facebook posts up top:
When I use the "remove results from this site" option, a new tab opens with https://kagi.com/search?q=springfield+school+ransomware+-site%3Afacebook.com&personalized=0 which just includes -site:facebook.com appended:
Is Verbatim mode even working, ever? I feel like there's always something new going wrong with it, like the way it handles quotes, or failing to return results that show up in non-verbatim mode (but have all of the words present in their exact spelling).
