Allow date range searches with partial input

Would be great if Kagi had some defaults for date range searches that allow for partial input.
I.e., if date and month for the From Date are empty, it should default to Jan 1 of the year, and the To Date should default to Dec 31.

I often have to retrieve older news/documents. When you talk ₂₀₀₉, the day and month really does not matter anymore. Punch in a search term, ballpark the year, get what you are looking for. When I look for a couple dozen documents that are all over five years old, choosing December and 31 every time just gets annoying.

Came here to suggest what I think is this issue as well. Basically, I want to be able to just type a year into the date range rather than have to do a month and day as well.

Bump. If I enter a year into the "From date" field and hit Search, I expect it to be acknowledged instead of silently ignored. There is no reason why From Date and To Date shouldn't default to Jan 1 and Dec 31 in the absence of a full date.

If it's a limitation of the html date input tag, use something else.
