Zero results for “Best Headphones” – is shopping search broken right now?

I was eager to try Kagi's new Shopping Search function, so I tried the example provide in the documentation: Best Headphones. However, this results in zero matches (see screenshot below).

So, it appears shopping search is broken?

Steps to reproduce:
Search for “Best Headphones”

Expected behavior:
I expect the results that are demonstrated in the screenshot on the Shopping Search documentation page.

quinncom That looks like the entire search is broken for you (in addition to the links top right being broken). I am not able to reproduce this though. Can you try again with a few other searches like 'best laptops'?

Hi quinncom ,

I believe this is a bug related to you having "Verbatim" enabled.

Can you turn verbatim off, and try again?

Ok, so I did another test, this time in Safari, and the results are a bit perplexing: at first the shopping results did appear, but after I switched between Verbatim and All Results a few times the “No matches” screen appeared. Here is a screen recording so you can see this.

I also noticed another bug: after toggling the Verbatim/All Results options a few times, its label doesn't match the selected option (the label says Verbatim even though the All Results option is selected). This is clearly visible at the end of the video linked above. (I previously reported a similar bug here.

quinncom Ok, it sounds like its just an issue with Verbatim / maybe filters in general. I could reproduce the issue when using Verbatim.

This still seems broken? I wanted to search for "vivobarefoot sensus", when I was searching for this what I really wanted was to view websites where I could buy this. So it would be very handy with a "shopping" lens so to speak which when used would display items and their price, possibly stars, in the search results directly.

If you are referring to the quoted shopping widget/results, we had to pause that feature as our upstream provider of this information closed.

Sorry about that! We would love to find a way to bring it back sometime, but its quite a difficult and delicate task.
