Creating multiple aliases for a single search destination requires creating separate custom bang entries for each one: having !d, !du, and !duck all search DuckDuckGo requires creating three distinct custom bangs. There’s also no Duplicate button so I have to create all of those manually.
Please enable adding multiple shortcuts in the Bang Shortcut field: d, du, duck.
There should be an example showing two or three comma-separated triggers in the UI within the Bang Shortcut field or near it to make this feature discoverable.
Anyone who, like me, cannot exactly remember which shortcuts they created, will enter several variations in the field. The bang will always work without friction even if the user forgets the exact abbreviation they used. Note that when entering a bang in the browser omnibox, there may be no suggestions that normally help discover bangs on the Kagi homepage.
If the search URL changes, which often happens with shadow libraries, it would be enough to change it in a single place.
