Some bangs that I wanted to use already exists - such as !runescape or !dockerhub. But they're too long to type when I used them a lot.
I already have !rs custom bang setup, but it was some work. I'd like to propose that the custom bang feature can be used to setup alias an existing bang.
The initial version of this feature can just simply prefill the custom bang page with the current settings, then perhaps later on a true alias version can be implemented which requires the user to manually migrate.
- Go to custom bang page
- Click add bang
- On the top there's a typeahead textbox to search for existing bang
- Once selected the other text fields get prefilled with the bang's current settings. User can modify to their liking including the trigger.
- User can use the new bang as they'd like.
