      • Hi team, this is a bit of a nitpick but it left me legitimately confused for a moment. It's regarding references in Quick answers. Hopefully it is not too trivial to mention šŸ™‚

        Usually when superscript formatting is used with footnotes, it is to associate the footnote with the preceding word or phrase.

        In situations where the footnote is being literally referred to by number, the superscript should not be used, because it is literally part of the sentence. For example:

        Should use superscript: I use Kagi[1], a search engine...
        Should not use superscript: Kagi, as shown in reference [1]...

        Steps to reproduce:

        1. Perform a Kagi search
        2. Press the Quick answer button
        3. Receive a generated quick answer containing reference like [1] and [2]

        Expected behavior:
        When the reference is not associated with a word, it should not have superscript.
