Add a way to report search quality problem next to the search item

In this forum lots of users posted about "wrong results": spam in a specific search, or search results unrelated to typed query, etc.
And always we go back and forth trying to pinpoint the problem and relate results with the search query.
The idea is to give to the user a tool to say "hey, I'd like to report a search problem quality for this item in this query search" (problem could be: spam, or unrelated content, ecc)

My idea is roughly this:

add a boolean option (on "Search" panel in Settings) like this:
Title: "Search quality feedback"
Description: "Report search quality problems to Kagi team. Will send only the search query and the selected result URL."
Default value: OFF
if the option is OFF, nothing happens
if the option is ON, a clickable icon will appear next to every search item. If the user click it, a HTTPS request will go to Kagi, including only the relevant attributes for you, like: search query, result URL, region (something else?)
clickable link placement: I'm not so keen about polluting the result item space with another clickable element; as of now, I'm uncertain between putting it into the orb popup, or add a "warning" clickable icon next to the orb.

We can also think about offering a short "quality problems" list to choose from (before every submission), something like: spam/unrelated result/geographical problem/etc...

What do you think about that?

Personally: I would worry if we make this too easy to report, it would become impossible to manage as the signal-to-noise ratio of actual search quality issues -> misuse of reporting system could be too low.

These issues also often require follow-ups to ask the user to tell us more about their expectations in greater detail.

z64 thinking more about your/Kagi team position, I think you're absolutely right.
You need more context when some problem arises, and ... how you'll ask for more details to the user?
So this proposal add complexity overall, feel free to discard it.
Maybe you can add if there are actions on user side that Kagi team would like to add (instead of "search quality problems"; or on the other side, we can elaborate something to raise the "search quality" posts here.
Otherwise, you can close this thread, sorry for the noise.

seventhwave No worries, it's a good intention. And maybe I'm wrong, we'll see what others think.

My standing thoughts on things like this - and I think there may be a post somewhere about this - I think the best balance would be some way to link your Kagi account here, automatically or otherwise.

Then we could find some way to pre-fill in the "boring" stuff, like current query, a link to results, search region, etc... friction would similarly be reduced, but you can edit what info is shared & it opens the channel of dialog.

Would be an important capability. For example, I just got a search result from "refinedshave.com", but the relevant page is gone since the domain is now for sale.

Would you consider adding another option:

Report page

The idea is for users to manually provide feedback as to why that page does not match the query. I realise this feedback would then have to be reviewed further to prevent abuse. But I think it would potentially be another way to refine your index?

For example, I searched for https://kagi.com/search?q=river+waveney with UK localisation turned on. The 4th result is "Conejos River" which is completely wrong, it doesn't have the word "waveney" anywhere on the page. Same goes for the 8th listing "Patuxent River" and several others. The Google results for this query are much better unfortunately.
