Unable to translate from "Detected (English)" to "English (US)"

For the past few days, I often haven't been able to translate from "Detected (English)" to "English (US)." Kagi Translate defaults to a "German" translation instead, and I can't change it.

Previously, the setting to translate to "English (US)" remained in place regardless of the source language or whether it contained mixed languages.

My use case for English -> English is to use the alternative translations to rephrase a sentence or paragraph and improve spelling.

It seems this issue is resolved. I haven't seen it crop up in the last few days. 🙂
