Speech input fails in Kagi Translate app on Android

I attempted to use speech input in the Kagi Translate app on Android 16. I press the microphone icon. An error message shortly appears: "Recording failed. Click to retry."

Yes, the app is allowed to use the microphone.

More data points:

speech input is also not working in the Assistant app (or the assistant part of the app)
speech input is working fine in the Search app (or the search part of the app)
this is on a Google Pixel 6 with Android 16

I can work around by using the system keyboard's dictation feature, but of course, if the app offers speech input then it should work. 🙂

Hi, this seems to be a bug with Kagi Translate website running on mobile. There is now a dedicated app for Kagi Translate: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kagi.translate

Could you try this to see if the voice input experience is better?

Ratik the dedicated Kagi Translate app's speech input feature works fine. Thanks, I wasn't aware of it's existence. Will use that app instead. 🙂
