Ways to exclude Russia Today as news source?

Russia Today is banned in many jurisdiction due to influence of the Russian government and use as propaganda propaganda. Removing rt.com content would enhance integrity, reliabilty and credibility of content. Alternatively allow users to block certain sources like rt.com.

Uservould decide to exclude certain unreliable sources.

This is a real issue. I have not seen any of the results being noticeably wrong due to the inclusion of RT, but Russia Today is not a source that prioritizes truth over outreach to a degree most bigger outlets do.

I also believe the inclusion of Tass is slightly problematic. It is reliable for direct quotes from the russian government, but not really anything besides that.
I am strongly in favor of excluding those two.

You can already block sites. Is that not enough for you? A default block of resources is a very slippery slope; I'm absolutely against it. What if you want to read Russia Today to see what their recent propaganda is all about? Maybe you're a researcher or historian comparing sources.

I think the OP is asking re: Kagi News rather than search. I would agree that I would value the ability to better “adjust” Kagi News results.

One option might be to remove eg RT as propaganda.

Another option might be to tune RT as a news source that doesn’t feed into the summary, but if it provides a significantly different angle in RT on a story maybe it is included in a card as “differing viewpoint” or something like this.

I understand that this might conflict with Kagi News being processed globally and not on a per-account basis. But I agree with OPs thoughts.

@Giorgio can chime in better on the technical side, but if you haven't seen any news items be wrong as a result of RT's inclusion, it means News is working as designed 🙂
We know not every source is going to be reliable on every issue, so News is designed to be able to ingest such sources and still provide an accurate, factual article.
