Currently, when Kagi Translate on iOS is set as the default translation app and you send some text to it in Japanese, it translates the meaning but doesn’t have the romaji/pronunciation key below it like Google Translate does.
Here are two images to show you exactly what I mean. First is Kagi, second is Google.
(Kagi Translate when set as iOS default translation app)
(Google Translate when set as the default translation app)
Notice how Google has an additional line that shows the pronunciation / romaji. This is useful for language learners and I think is just useful overall.
Please look into adding this.
I’m learning Japanese currently and it’s way way more useful to me to understand the readings of the characters, as there are typically multiple readings for each kanji character, and it changes depending on the context of the words around it.
Without this, I won’t set Kagi as the default translation. It is a dealbreaker for me in this case.
