Why the limited search query?

So I decided to do my first ever long worded search query today which just so happened to be this nice quote I came across that I wanted to further learn more about, "By controlling the language, Big Brother controls the way that the people think. With a limited vocabulary, the people are limited in how much they can think, as well as, what they think about."

Bit ironic but Kagi cut the query short and stated this message "Your query was trimmed because we limit queries to 32 words and 1024 characters."

I was wondering why Kagi does this and if it's not for any significant reason if it can be changed. Every now and then I do like to search for a long quote or some text from a pdf file or something that is pretty long in length.

Our upstream providers have limitations on input lengths - if we go over, they will reject the request. We also need to reserve some room in order to apply some classes of filters to your query. We also try to help with this by trimming excess whitespace in between words, which will not affect results.

We can re-review the current limit and see if it can be raised - but the intention was just to apply what we felt was a "safe" limit that most people won't cause us to generate a request that is too large.
