What happened?
In the Kagi News iOS app, after tapping an article to read it, there is a swipe gesture to return to the main article list by dragging from the left side of the screen. But, the area to do so is too narrow, resulting in either me swiping to the previous article (undershooting) or over-exerting my thumb to stretch far cross the screen to the other side.
I also use a phone with a larger screen (iPhone Pro Max), so it requires an extra amount of space to stretch to reach the gesture trigger.
Replication steps
- Open the Kagi News app on iOS
- Tap an article to begin reading
- With your right thumb, reach towards the left side of the screen but do not press on the exact edge of the viewport
- Swipe your right thumb from the left to the right
What did you expect to happen?
I would expect the viable area where I can begin the drag gesture on the left side would be larger, perhaps 10% to 20% of the screen width.
Describe the desired functionality
To get a feel for what I'm talking about, other reader / news apps I've used in the past have more generous drag boxes on the left for the "return to article list".
For reference, try how it works within Inoreader, an iOS RSS news reader app which uses a similar "swipe to return to article list" and "swipe to previous/next article" gesture.
