Thanks to the Kagi team for being quick to respond to customer feedback.
In my opinion it is very reasonable for a subscription-based company to
1) First provide new functionality for free to subscribers at a mid-tier level
2) Then make it clear that this functionality can be even more powerful at a higher-tier level
Again, IMO it could have been a UI redesign rather than totally removing, that would have been very fair.
To those who adamantly insisted to remove this - I hope you are appreciating that not only did Kagi remove, but they also labeled it “ads/upselling” in the changelog.
Kagi really went above and beyond to demonstrate that they value your feedback and needs.
