Respect for all the work you have done already, kagi news rock! It is awesome to have keyboard shortcuts, although there is this minor issue, which annoys me. I also attach a video demoing the issue.
In the single page display mode (whether it is sequential, mixed or random), j and k keys do not work expectedly. To be precise, j and k keys change visually the current index of the highlighted news item up and down respectively. However when enter is pressed, instead of the highlighted news item, an totally irrelevant news item is expanded.
I suppose that, j and k keys increase and decrease an internal index and enter key is supposed to expand the news item at that index. But enter doesn't take the mixed categories into account, so it only opens the news items from the leading news category, which is technology in my case. So if I do three times j and a sequential enter, it finds and opens the third news item from technology, although the list is mixed and the third highlighted item is from another news category.
The problem also applies to h and l keys. When single page sequential display mode is selected, it is not possible to change the news category using the keys.
In single page mode, enter should open the highlighted news item.
