Logging in on a second tab redirects to home instead of your search

When searching something before logging in, you're presented with a login page. Then, after logging in, you get redirected to your search. Except if you log in on another tab, then your search is lost:

It should redirect to your search

Have you tried configuring the search engine using your Session Link? It is designed to authenticate you through a token instead of having to sign in on incognito

blunket It's more an issue when switching devices, and distraction. The session link is an awesome feature, but it can knock me out of my workflow. Copying links between devices can also be clunky
