Assistant cant access PDF files

Hello!
Recently I haven been having trouble upoading PDF files into Kagi Assistant.

When I upload a file it looks like this:

I think the file is uploaded, but I cant really tell for sure, since there is no indicator or progress bar, when a file is uploading.

My main problem is, that the Assistant cant access the PDF file. Every response from the AI begins with something like "Sorry, but I cant access the file your provided ..."

When I upload a file I would like a visual feedback, that the file I selected has been sucessfully uploaded.
When a file is uploaded the AI should have access to it.

It's probably confusing itself, what happens if you ask something about the pdf specifically (about it's contents)?

Currently the assistant can't read the pdf word for word by it can extract information from it when you give it a question. Hence why the model might be confused about it

Some more details on this:
I use a Pixel 8a with Graphene OS and Vanadium as a browser.

After some more testing I noticed that sometimes the upload works and the AI also has access to it. Then it suddenly doenst work at all - with the same PDF file. I tested multiple PDF files and I encountered problems with all of them. Non of the files are I tested are larger than 1mb.

Interesting, I didnt know that. I though the AI reads all the text in a PDF and puts it into its context, like when you post a wall of plain text into a thread.

EDIT: I also tried to upload the PDF only later on in the thread and it didnt upload.
