Not all news sites have feeds separated by categories, though they may have relevant content to help bolster the quality of Kite feeds.
For example, ABC News maintains a general news RSS feed. Most of the content posted would be irrelevant for a "Space" feed, but every once in a while they will have relevant news that could help improve coverage on a larger trending space topic.
Having a means to define secondary sources that Kite would only pull from in support of a story identified by a primary source could improve the overall experience and bring more diverse coverage to Kite.
This could also help throttle some of the more spammy news sources (looking at you ScienceDaily) that post hundreds of articles a day and may unnecessarily skew the trending algorithm.
To utilize a feature like this, users would nominate separately primary and secondary news sources for a category.
Kite on the backend would aggregate stories from primary sources in the exact same way as currently for the purposes of identifying trending topics. Kite would then review any secondary source content for relevance and integrate relevant information into the summary post.
