I noticed this weird behaviour (the exact lenses choices seem to not matter):
If I have say lens "small-web" toggled-off (but "selected in the list") and then I flip to another lens and click enabled, the search is done with the "small-web" lens
Although that behaviour confused me a bit, it doesn't feel as "confusing" when having a lens enabled and switching-lens-and-disabling before the page loads from switching the lens alone
(recording info: win11 / ffx with adnaseum)
The probable actual problems I noticed:
- Switching a lens, doesn't provide a visual feedback that a site load is pending (changing the search terms and firing a new search does) - it only shows when the results are fetched because of the "instant change of the content of the page"
- (with toggled-off lens) switching to another lens category should probably flip "lens-enabled" state immediately instead of wait for the next page load
Probable behaviour I'd expect
- If I have toggled-off the lens, and I select another lens, since it triggers a page load, I'd expect:
- it cleans up search results to signify a new search/page load
- it toggles lens-enabled state before next page load
