Please eliminate AI slop

Hi!

First of all, I love what Kagi is doing, I don't mind paying for a search engine that respects my privacy. And I can't wait for the Linux version of the Orion browser. This is not so much a complaint as a request but...

I used to love Kagi's search results because they didn't include any of the Google advertising swill. I could find what I was looking for in a flash. However, it looks like Google slop has been replaced by useless, incoherent AI slop that I have to wade through to get to any useful information.

I realise eliminating it is probably not easy from a technical standpoint. Just saying that that is one feature I would love.

Ideally, the AI results wouldn't appear in search results at all. Maybe there could be another button in the search options that would allow the user to turn on AI-generated results. Or, there could be a button which would filter AI slop.

Kagi in both web and image search is already doing various kinds of removal of AI results but obviously it's not complete so there is a built-in mechanism via what dustin linked slopstop that allows you to report any AI content you come across to us. Either web results, images or videos.

I'm going to mark this feedback as nofix because it's essentially already happening in various places but it's a long continuous effort obviously so it's not really something that can be marked as done

Ok good to know. I'm not a tech person by profession but even I understand that this is not necessarily something that is in the hands of Kagi developers. Just wishing upon a star... 🙂
