balssh Right now you can see the usage information (albeit not as detailed as i'd like) in Billing section in Settings. It would be nice to have that in the Assistant page directly. The usage info from the billing page could be displayed directly in the Assistant page. Even better would be cost approximation per model used.
westerntragopan I don't think if most people ever hit their usage limits (I use Kagi extensively and I have never!). However, this seems like a useful suggestion.
westerntragopan Check these out: https://kagifeedback.org/d/6899-show-estimated-monetary-usage-of-the-assistant https://kagifeedback.org/d/7381-provide-cost-transparency-for-kagi-assistant
balssh I have just recently subscribed to the ultimate tier and my feeling is that I consume lots of credits fairly quickly: in only a couple of prompt to the research assistent (and the experimental one) I used about 10% of credits.
westerntragopan Interesting, thanks for the note! Since I'm on the professional plan, I don't have access to flagship models (just standard models), so yeah, that's probably why my usage is low.
balssh Yeah, those are pretty good, but the research assistant used up to $0.5 for a single prompt. That's pretty insane to me.
pbronez I use Research fairly often and haven’t hit any limit problems. Personally, I want Research to burn a lot of AI cycles. The whole point is that I can give is a hard question, let it chew, then get an answer good enough that don’t need much follow up.
Vlad pbronez in the future you will be able to allocate time budget for kagi research, so you can say something like ' go do this for 3 hours and go as deep as you can, i dont care about time or cost (ok if it $5/pop) just about depth and accuracy'
pbronez Vlad That will be super cool, especially for high-stakes enterprise use cases. e.g. "Salesforce wants to charge me $YIKES, what are my alternatives given <extensive requirements discussion>"
