I've identified an issue where the Experimental Research Assistant does not have access to user-defined custom instructions, while other modes (Quick Assistant and specific models) do.
Steps to reproduce:
Set custom instructions in your profile
- Start a conversation in Experimental Research Assistant mode
- Reference or rely on those instructions; note they won’t be available
- Repeat in Quick Assistant; note now instructions are correctly loaded
This seems to be specific to the research mode’s architecture. Would appreciate a fix or clarification!
Expected behavior:
- Custom instructions should be consistently available across all assistant modes.
Actual behavior:
- Only non-research modes receive the custom instructions. This breaks context continuity and limits the usefulness of the research assistant for personalized workflows.
