AND search operator returns results that do not contain all ANDed words

I performed the following searches:
cirris AND TESTLOOPCOUNT
cirris AND testloopcount
(cirris AND testloopcount)

All search results contained the word "cirris" but none (that I could find) contained "testloopcount".

All the returned results would contain both "cirris" and "testloopcount". If there no indexed pages containing both words, then no results would be returned.
