Problem with unicode characters in assistant's output

I asked the assistant in quick mode a question in French. The question contained accented characters, which were displayed fine. The search and the response from the assistant showed similar characters as squares.

I expected the whole discussion to use the appropriate unicode characters.

Are you able to consistently replicate this? I just tried myself with one of your prompts and couldn't get the same behavior.

I have it reported as a bug, too. I searched for utf-8 encoding and did not find this bug report, first. Perhaps multiple bug report helps to solve this more quickly:

It seems to be a problem with their "quick" assistant. It works without problem in the research assistant

Ah yes maybe it's related to the Quick assistant (and use of special characters), I use it often. Last example with a question in french: https://kagi.com/assistant/6c3948b5-3066-461c-8946-7023dbb4042d

4 tries. 2 shows as "answer under construction", it was a pretty complete answer with a similar error message at the end. Another one just misses all special characters like é, à .... And the 4th try is FINALLY the good and clean one

Hi,

I am using the Chrome web browser (not sure whether this is relevant to the issue).

I very often encounter an error when asking a question in French: the answer appears to be encoded in ISO-8859-1 and is therefore not displayed correctly. At the end of the text, I then get an error message in French along the lines of:

"An error occurred while trying to get your answer.

This problem frequently occurs when your internet connection is interrupted while loading a response. After waiting a moment, the response often appears. You can also try to regenerate it.

In almost all cases, clicking the “Regenerate” button fixes the issue on the first attempt (sometimes the second).

Please find below an example illustrating the problem.

I have never experienced this issue when asking questions in English — it only happens with French.

Is there anything I should change on my side to fix this?
