Tried to share a link to an assistant thread to a friend for her to read; friend said she doesn't see anything. Inspecting in a private window shows that, indeed, nothing is shown while logged out.

I would expect that a shared link to an Assistant thread opens up even if logged-out, since it's supposed to be public now. Alternatively, a note somewhere in the documentation that all Assistant usage, including viewing shared threads, requires a paid account.
