Assistant lens dropdown sometimes lights purple with no lens selected

This issue is fairly intermittent and a little random feeling - I never touch the lens feature at all and sometimes when I return to a thread I've been in, it'll be lit incorrectly. It has only happened to me when web search is off for the thread.

I can provide the thread if it for some reason ends up linked to that in some way, although I'd be surprised if it was.

I see you mentioned that you never touch the lens feature in the dropdown there, but do you ever use any Custom Assistants with any lenses enabled? It's one other piece of code that might be implicitly setting this, potentially

z64 I've never intentionally used a lens on a Custom Assistant. My Customs generally all run without web search because they don't need it.

Hi Howie,

The lens selector will be in a "modified" state if you have an active lens or Personalized Results are disabled, which looks to be the case here.

It might be helpful for us to make this indication clearer, so we will explore potential options. 🙂

Hi @howie,

We recently pushed some changes to this component to improve the overall clarity.

There is now a label for which lens is selected, the purple background now only indicates whether web access is enabled, and we now use a shield indicator to denote when Personalized Results is active.

Please let me know if these changes address some of your concerns.
