It would be great to see pasted text formatting introduced to the Assistant interface. For example, if I have bold or italicised text, I would like to see that bold or italicised text carried over to the Assistant for the LLM and myself to see. The same applies to text size and fonts (although admittedly fonts are trickier to implement given their variability across platforms).
The current functionality (or lack thereof) is visible in the below screen recording.
I use a custom assistant for proofreading, and one of the things it consistently flags is wrong text styles (e.g. book names should be italicised). But those styles are almost always correct in the original text in the reference document (in my case using Pages on macOS). This burns unnecessary tokens and is generally frustrating, given the superfluous responses provided at times. On top of this, it would simply be useful to see the text styles consistently on both the Assistant interface and my reference document.
The example given is for desktop, but the feature set should be replicated on mobile too.
