When a timer started from a search bar query like "5 second timer" runs out, there's no alarm noise, but there is a noise if I interact with the kagi page beforehand, e.g. if I pause and unpause the timer or restart it, then the alarm plays.
Steps that reproduce it on my laptop and my phone
- Visit https://kagi.com/search?q=5+second+timer
- Wait 5 seconds for the timer to run out
- No alarm happens.
Steps that don't reproduce it:
- Visit https://kagi.com
- Type "5 second timer" into the bar
- Wait 5 seconds
- The alarm does play in this scenario.
or
- Visit https://kagi.com/search?q=5+second+timer
- Press stop and then start on the timer
- Wait 5 seconds for the timer to run out
- The alarm plays in this scenario too.
My laptop is using ungoogled chromium and my phone is using vanadium. Neither of them have the kagi extension.
I expected the alarm to play at the end of the timer in all scenarios.
