This concept was previously described here, and remains an advantageous enhancement to Kagi: as the number of question marks at the end of a query increases, so too does the sophistication of the search. Simple and straightforward.
This approach is likely to be intuitive for a user, will be easy to utilize since it only requires repetitive taps of the same key ("?"), and alleviates any confusion that may exist between terms that appear to be similar (Quick Answer, Quick Assistant, Research Assistant). Personally, I see this feature has an additional avenue to access the Assistant and not a replacement for existing functionality.
