The new AI slop reporter breaks the layout when translated

It looks like the added button was only tested in English or other short languages. German looks like this:

(By the way, it's "der Müll", not "das Müll" - "minderwertigen KI-generierten Müll". edit: I contributed a change on Localazy.)

It might be worth the time to improve the layout here. :-)

Garibaldi However, it is advantageous to pursue web development as a German. Most languages fit into our layouts... 😆

tux0r I agree, I’m a German speaker too. But over the years, no matter how hard I’ve tried to enforce consideration of epic compound words or sentences, there never fails to be an issue at some stage!

I'd like to bring up one more thing, because I find the term "trash" has pejorative connotations. It should rather be replaced by the neutral term "content".

greyfivenine8244 so does the original term "slop". This is the literally the point of the button - to report things that are trash, not content.

The new update added the AI SlopStop. However, when translated, the button is displayed as way too big or long. This happens even without custom CSS. Here is a picture of it:

For one thing, the translation of the text needs to be significantly shorter. A simple "Report" would suffice. ("melden" in German). Furthermore, there is also a problem with the translation, because the following description above the button would be grammatically correct:

"Report this website as low-quality, AI-generated content" (exactly like the current text in the button).
In german: "Diese Webseite als minderwertigen, KI-generierten Inhalt melden.".
Even if the website is AI-generated garbage, the term in German is rather derogatory and should be replaced with the neutral word "content".

As a French translator for kagi I could understand that when we have to translate some sentences we don't always have the context (is it for a button modal or description text) and sometimes English words don't exist in our language. AI slop in French don't have an équivalent we could say "bouillie d'IA" but "contenu de mauvaise qualité généré par IA" is more clear. All AI generated content are not slop.
