When the agent produces lengthy outputs that are identical to the previous response the entire response
could be collapsed with an ellipsis
e.g.
[…]
This would:
Prevent jarring repetition
Maintain conversational flow
Signal system behavior transparently
Reduce cognitive load
The choice of ellipsis additionally reflects the fact that the response indicates 'thought' resulting in conflict whilst also conforming to a common human response in written and verbal dialog indicating both cognitive dissonance and the need to move on or clarify
This is just a variation on how many interfaces handle long passages and repetitive references in threads whilst ensuring accessibility to content for clarification etc
