Kagi enforces American spelling

My search included the word 'flavour' and Kagi thinks I spelled it wrong:

suki I've got my search region set to CA - en and it doesn't correct the spelling of flavour automatically. I checked International and GB as well and it seems ok for me.

Under settings my region is Canada and my interface language is Canadian English. So for me it's respecting that.

What are your settings at the moment?

Dustin Oops, my interface language was set to "detect language." Switched to Canadian English and now it doesn't try and correct me. The regular English option is where it comes from. Might be a bit confusing to any British people that pick it!

I definitely don't think it should be offering alternate searches for words like that. It should have a list of differently-spelled pairs of words and use perform the search. This suggests that it may be excluding ones spelled with our without the U, which is problematic.
