Today in History is a day late

This is Today in History; everything it discusses occurred on October 31.

Currently, Today in History is also updated when the news categories are (so ~noon UTC). In other words, this is intended for now. An argument could be made for today in history following the user's local time and displaying events based on that, but I am not sure how taxing that would be. It could also be confusing that one section is updated at a different time than the others.

Well, "today" means today, not today at 12 noon. I don't see how it's confusing, and the updates presumably access much different data.

I kinda agree with displaying the 'today' news matching the users's local device time actually

I definitely agree that if I sit down in the morning on November 3rd, I want to see Today in History for November 3rd. If system refreshes every 24 hours, that's all well and good but it's effectively useless for X number of people at any given time.

It's 0733 November 3rd as I write this and all of this happened yesterday.
