In mobile, after the latest update, Quick Answer appears in fullscreen, and the lightning icon has moved to the bottom right from the top left.
The personally assigned quick bang 'q' for Quick Answer no longer works if you add the quick bang after typing in your query and hit enter. You are required to tap on the quick answer prompt from the dropdown after typing it into the search field. This makes it more cumbersome to use.
In addition, while scrolling on the page, because the search icon on the bottom right has been replaced by the lightning icon, you are required to scroll back to the top in order to type in a new search.
Suggestions:
- Please make it so that in-page Quick Answer works after hitting enter the way it did prior to this latest change.
Seeing Quick Answer along with other search results also has its value. Fullscreen Quick Answer doesn't feel that much different than continuing with Assistant, as it pretty much takes you to a separate screen, cutting you off from the remaining search results. The option to continue the thread in Quick Answer could be added to in-page Quick Answer as well.
If the community is in favour of fullscreen Quick Answer, please add the ability to use both in-page and fullscreen Quick Answer using quick bangs that work upon hitting enter.
Add the search icon at the bottom right in addition to the lightning icon, so that one doesn't have to scroll back up to type in another search.
Hope you will consider these changes and implement them at the earliest, as there is value in retaining in-page Quick Answer.
Retaining the in-page Quick Answer allows users to view both quick answers and search results in the same page.
