GLM-4.6 thinking instead of speaking

The model did not close its thinking block and decided to speak inside of it, leaving an empty reply. Most likely an upstream bug.

The model answers without thinking in this case, or an empty reply with a thinking block gets post-processed to turn thinking into speaking.

FWIW, I've used GLM 4.6 outside of Kagi and it constantly breaks with reasoning blocks (doesn't emit a closing tag). It might just be the model's design.
