Steps to reproduce:
- Search for something with results on stack exchange (stack overflow, cross validated, etc.)
- Use the keyboard to open the link (highlight result with keyboard and press enter)
- The SE site will systematically highlight the bottom-most result with >0 points.
Kagi seems to place that answer's id
in the URL.
Notes:
- I have not reproduced this behaviour while clicking on SE links with a mouse.
- This behaviour persists with and without the 'Open Links in a New Tab' option set in the general settings.
Expected behavior:
I would either expect:
- the page to open normally at the top (i.e. without a specific answer
id
in the URL; causing an answer to be highlighted)
- if a specific answer is deemed particularly relevant to my query, to place that answer's
id
in the URL.
I do not expect the id of the bottom-most answer (seemingly with >0 points) to always be placed in the url when opening SE links with the keyboard (see video for example).
