One of my custom assistants was using a model that was dropped (for a better version). But, the default model the custom assistant was switched to was in a different model family and far more costly. There was no visual warning or indicator that the model changed and I was running the custom assistant with the more expensive model. My first indication of the change was hitting my token limit far sooner than expected.
It would be nice to have some kind of indicator that a model I was using has been dropped or switched on me.
Ideally, I would like to see some kind of warning symbol or notification symbol in that chat itself, if the model assigned to a custom assistant has changed. Possibly a red exclamation mark or even just some kind of notification that says something like:
"This Custom Assistant's model is no longer available and has been switched to <model>."
Possibly the same way we see a notification in the chat when we are close to the monthly token limit.
