I’m having content issues in the sense that Kagi News refuses to fetch new content..

Refresh should be around 2pm CEST which is noon GMT yet I see the same news as yesterday afternoon and there doesn’t seem to be a pull-to-refresh or similar feature.

Can you please try the following:

Close the app from the multitasking menu, and relaunch, let me know if this makes any difference
Go to the App Store and see if you have the option to update the app, I wonder if there's an update

Many of the headlines in the French news read like poor translations from English. My guess is that the LLM is "thinking" in English, then translating its summary. (First and third headlines below; the second, while in the same form, sounds more correct.)

And no way any French person would use this verb for this story:

Sorry, a bit of a delayed report. I tried to view "Today in History" last Sunday at 10:31 AM (British Summer Time) and just got an error message. The other feeds were working fine:

Advertorial pieces are being summarised in UK news. They're just fluff pieces for Estate Agents to promote an area and shouldn't be summarised on a regular basis.

I saw one of the sources used for a news item was Russia Today—I think using a propaganda state service for Russia is a bad source for your news app. Love most of the experience, just want to say y’all may want to rethink using RT as a source.

Multiple categories are completely empty today. Not sure if the generation needs some more time, but according to the timestamp, it was completed 2 hours ago.

I speak 5 languages. I want to select that I do not want to translate these languages. I do want to translate some sources though, for example news on the war in Ukraine. Currently Kagi News assumes I only speak one language and I want everything in one language. 40-50% of the world's population is multilingual, with Europe and Asia hitting 50-90% (bottom estimate). The exceptions are only the US and other English speaking countries. This feature should be prioritized.

Likely unintentional, but the top news post of the "Technology" page seems a bit like an advertisement for Black Friday deals... Something I thought Kagi tried to stay away from. Hopefully this is just a mistake!

Additionally, after noticing the last post, an article on Science claiming we're heading for Climate Chaos is only supported by 1 real source. The other 2 being google (which mentions the 1st source), and Reddit.

I noticed A LOT of articles on Kagi news are single sourced backed up by Google & Reddit. Be cautious.

News have stopped updating today. Is there a glitch? Also pull to refresh would be good. I keep killing the app to refresh the feed everyday because there's no notification. A notification would be even better. Can be opt in.

Noticed a bit of a misleading thumbnail and title combo on the news menu:

This combination suggests to me that the man pictured is the “man charged over Huntingdon train stabbing”, however it is in fact a picture of Samir Zitouni, a railway employee who intervened to stop the attack and is currently in a life-threatening condition.

Not sure what the solution is to this issue as I imagine this image was in one of the articles used by the algorithm… but thought I’d raise it here in case it helps!

As a user who respects journalism and facts, I’d like objectively-lower-quality news sources removed from Kagi News.

This isn’t about left/right preference, it’s about proximity to the original source and trustworthiness based on ownership.

Specific examples:

Google.com and Reddit.com are aggregator/social sites. Why are they cited instead of the original articles?
RT is Russian-owned state media, widely seen as a propaganda rag. (I know NPR is federally funded, but it’s not state media.)

If someone wants to manually add these sources to some future update, that’s within their right. But y’all have a high bar for quality and these sources don’t seem to meet that. Please remove them from the default sources. Thank you!
