Currently there are two formality options for Korean: Banmal and Jondaetmal, which is impressive on its own, but a lot of the time you might want to translate to 문어체 (Muneoche), a style used exclusively in formal writing. Almost every academic writing, book, and article is written in that style, and it's honestly not very often that you'd want to use either Banmal or Jondaetmal in those situations.
