Old thread info:
It would be a great UX improvement to be able to swap models using bangs. You can already set bangs on custom assistants, which is a feature I currently use way too little.
My goal is that I could create more custom assistants with prompts teaching AI specializations for different topics and programming languages. Currently I think the UX for swapping models is too clunky to do it regularly (Swapping back to Gemini 2.5 Pro takes effort).
!nix Help me extract this subattr from this attrset { .... }
!gpro Why is Kagi so cool?
!french Why does France have so much nuclear? (Mistral 😛)
!cson Why doesn't Anthropic fix their models?
!k2 Give me a bash script that deletes all pods with the annotation asdf=fdsa
It'd be nice if there were default bangs for the models, and if you want custom ones you can create empty custom assistants to realias them(?)
(Obviously the bang should be subtracted from the message)
It would be really nice to be able to switch models by prefixing /model or something similar when sending commands to the assistant and having access to your custom assistants as well by their "bang identifier" would be nice! 🙂
