The desktop web UI doesn't handle a large number of enabled categories gracefully, making it a bit of a pain to get from one end of the list to the other, or to jump to a category of immediate interest. The only option is to click the quite small arrows which only scroll the list by 2 entries at a time.
By contrast, on mobile, both Android app and browser, the equivalent bar allows for swiping to scroll more quickly.

I would suggest:
- The desktop web UI be changed to a "floating" bar, similar to the mobile options.
- An alternate list view be available.
My normal flow with Kagi News isn't simply going top to bottom, left to right through each category. I'll do that with a few maybe, but then say I see a story in World and want to check what local media is saying a regional category, but those categories are at the other end of my list.
As much as I hate to use Reddit as a positive example of UX, the placement of custom feeds and subreddits on the left column, with the feed itself in the centre column does a much better job at taking advantage of a typical desktop browser window compared to horizontal tabs at the top or bottom.
